2025 Season

It’s been an extremely busy, but great beekeeping season.  The JQ bee colonies came out of winter with better survival rates than expected. This kick started our spring splitting program.  All strong hives were split at least once with some hives being split multiple times. The new hives were equipped with fresh 2025 queens to keep the hives in order!

Throughout the spring the colonies grew at a rapid pace and swarming was a significant challenge however nothing keeps this crew down.

Currently the summer honey flow is winding down. As the goldenrod emerges we will be pulling the last of the honey from the field. This will allow us to prepare the hives for the quickly approaching fall and winter months that lie ahead.

The life of a beekeeper is never sedentary but we would not change it for the world.

Thanks for following along on our journey.
